The REV Prepaid Mastercard is a prepaid card loaded with funds by a program sponsor (the company that issued the card or appears on the front, excluding the bank or Mastercard). Once loaded, it can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. It is not a credit card, and each purchase deducts from your card balance.

Your card can be used in-store and online at any location where Mastercard is accepted. If your card includes ATM access, you can withdraw cash from ATMs worldwide.

Log into your account to report the card as lost/stolen or email REV Prepaid Customer Service at support@revprepaid.com. If your card was registered, a replacement may be issued and the remaining balance transferred, minus applicable fees. Your card includes Zero Liability Protection.

Check the carrier your card came with for specific instructions. Some cards are pre-registered, while others require activation. PIN is required for all cards before use and can be generated via portal (https://portal.revprepaid.com/). For the best user experience, use the Google Chrome browser.

Yes. Your card expires on the last day of the month and year printed on the front of the card.

Your card uses EMV chip technology for secure transactions. Depending on the merchant, you may be asked to either sign or enter your PIN.

Yes. Inform the merchant before the transaction and tell them how much to charge to your REV Prepaid card. Not all merchants allow split payments, so always check your balance beforehand.

Yes, but return policies vary by merchant. Keep your card and receipts even if the balance is $0. If a refund is issued, it may take 3–5 business days to appear.

Yes, you can pay at the pump or inside with the cashier. Some stations may not support pay-at-pump for prepaid cards, and the merchant may place a pre-authorization hold of 20% or more.

Yes, but these merchants may place a pre-authorization hold of 20% or more above your bill. Ensure your balance covers the total with tolerance.

What is a pre-authorization?

A temporary hold placed on your card for more than the actual amount of the purchase due to merchant tolerance (commonly used by hotels, restaurants, rentals and gas stations). The pre-authorizations are released once the transaction is finalized.

An additional temporary charge (usually 20%) to account for tips or incidentals. If your bill is $100, your card may be authorized for $120. If the full amount isn't available, the transaction may be declined.

You can set up automatic payments for subscriptions, memberships, and other monthly services.
Please note: While most merchants accept prepaid cards, there may be exceptions where a specific merchant does not accept prepaid cards as a form of payment. If a payment doesn’t go through, we recommend checking with the merchant directly.

Does my card have ATM access?
Not all card programs have ATM access.  Please refer to your Terms and Conditions to identify your ATM access. Make sure to set up your PIN first, and you have used your card at a POS Terminal first.
Important: Before using your card at an ATM, you must insert it at a point-of-sale (POS) terminal at least once. This activates your chip and PIN for ATM withdrawals. If your card does not have ATM access, PIN generation is still required
